The Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) recently launched the first-ever Marketing Leadership Development Program (MLDP) in Zimbabwe which aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice and ultimately enable future marketing leaders.

Due to commence this March, the one-year program is targeted at young marketers, recent graduates, brand managers, entrepreneurs, consultants, agency managers, and leaders from other disciplines who would like to hone their leadership skills with a strategic marketing perspective.

MLDP will equip students with the latest marketing techniques, tools and strategies as well as leadership approaches that addresses current business realities and challenges. The courses will touch on marketing strategy, customer experience, analytics, media and digital transformation.

Commenting on the launch, Enia Zimunya, MAZ Head of Marketing and Operations, said: “MLDP is designed to transform the marketing discipline from a mere management skill to building a marketing leader who is able to fully address business issues and influence decisions at the top. MAZ’s ambition is to listen to young marketers’ ambitions and goals and bring along a program that enables and empowers them with practical skills that employers are looking for.”
