Andrea Álvares is Chief Brand, Innovation, International and Sustainability Officer and member of the Executive Committee for Natura. Prior to Natura, she held General Manager, Marketing and Strategy roles at Pepsico and P&G.

Andrea is a board member of the Executive Committee of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and emeritus advisor of the Conscious Capitalism Institute of Brazil. She is also a member of the Private Sector Advisory Group of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), a founding member of Women of Brazil and is actively engaged in several female empowerment initiatives.

Andrea has been awarded Forbes Most Influential Women in Brazil, Advertising Age Women to Watch and Top 10 Female Executives by Valor Economico newspaper.

What are the things she's most proud of this year?

“I’m most proud of how we continued to create products and communicate ideas that instigated new ways of thinking about our impact in the world.

Entering a second year of Covid, we focused our efforts to generate the economic means to support our network: from the 7300 families in the Amazon all the way to the 2 million beauty consultants spread across Latin America.

We spoke up about the Amazon, envisioning a desired future in 2050 where the forest thrived, and going beyond to create a portal to monitor deforestation and raise awareness and engagement in the cause. We created circular solutions to ocean-bound plastic through products that incorporated plastic waste, developing the supply chains to enable their collection and reuse. We communicated the importance of relationships to drive resilience and collective value creation.

Through our words, but specially because of our actions, I believe we helped to bring hope.”
