The Slovenian Advertising Chamber (SOZ), with the support of Mastercard, launched a creative competition in April and invited advertising agencies and creatives in Slovenia to create positive and inspiring works that encourage solidarity with Ukrainians in need.

SOZ received over 40 submissions and a jury of SOZ members selected 11 works in May. The winning works were converted into non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and the public could select and receive a copy of the works as NFTs when they donate through Truhoma, a platform for donations based on blockchain technology. 100% of the funds raised will be donated in the form of food packages to Ukrainian families who have taken refuge in Slovenia.

People and companies can support this initiative HERE.

Commenting on the initiative, SOZ President Dino Zupančič said: “Apart from the charitable note of the project, I am especially pleased that under the auspices of SOZ, the advertising industry has joined forces to help Ukrainian families in need. The project is a good mix of two very current topics in the context of advertising: social responsibility, which has become an important constant in advertising in recent years, and NFTs, which are currently one of the most visible indicators of rapid growth in the digital environment and Web 3.0.”

SOZ has also been communicating on what different companies in Slovenia have been doing and providing information on how to help the people of Ukraine.
