Global Media Board

WFA Media Board

The Media Board’s mission is to be an industry-focused and action-oriented group that helps advertisers prioritise industry issues within the global media ecosystem and provide advice on how to best tackle those issues. The Board also seeks to act as a steering group for WFA’s wider media activities.

Key initiatives

The Media Board has been instrumental in the development of WFA’s Global Media Charter. This document has been issued three times (2008, 2018 and 2023). The Board has been supporting the build of industry programmes, designed to address the issues outlined in the Charter. These programmes include:

The Board also works closely with the industry to develop media tools and approaches compatible with the increasingly consumer-centric, privacy-first ecosystem.

As the issues evolve, the WFA Global Media Board looks forward to supporting more initiatives to address a range of priorities, increasingly focused on the Environmental, Societal and Governance (ESG) agenda.
