JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Optical Retailers e-Commerce Sr Manager oversees the online sales and presence of several optical retail banners in different regions (mainly North America, ANZ, LatAm).

He/she conveys a consistent brand image that attracts customers by encouraging sales on the Web and customer acquisition for brick & mortar stores.

He/she actively contributes to each brand’s online strategy definition and owns strategy execution, also leveraging on Company’s shared services and local teams.

He/she is responsible for identifying growth opportunities and supporting their implementation and execution across several eCommerce optical brands.

Working in partnership with local eCommerce managers and several different functions (e.g. product, merchandising, marketing, operations, etc), leveraging analytical tools, he/she connects the dots and puts together a prioritized list of initiatives, focusing on both the organic business and inorganic initiatives.

Moreover, he/she is also responsible for helping with monitoring performance, prioritizing and addressing maintenance issues with service lines, to ensure an optimal performance of the platforms and consequently improving sales. He/she will also be responsible to work with local e-commerce managers to share best practices / insights to reinforce the business acumen all across the Optical Retail ecom banners.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:

  • Analyze business KPI’s, including cross brands benchmarking, to identify growth opportunities across key areas (merchandising, UX/UI, traffic, CR, etc)
  • Define a list of priority actions with eCommerce managers and ensure their execution
  • Evaluate impact of above actions on main KPI’s (sales, cost, value creation, etc)
  • Monitoring of the Roadmap execution
  • Be the “voice of the business” in cross functional meetings to define projects’ requirements
  • Oversee the RX category (i.e. complete pair) development cross optical retailers together with the eCommerce lens category team
  • Maximizes revenue and margin from goods through online sales.
  • Oversees the proper procedures for handling and sales of eCommerce merchandise.
  • Implements and maintains procedures to maximize efficiencies in sales and customer service, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Provides information and counsel concerning retail operations to support strategic development and improvements in growth and effectiveness.
  • Gains a thorough understanding of customer needs, both existing and potential, and uses that knowledge to help deliver site features that provide customers digital shopping and relationship experience.
  • Analyzes various business initiatives across all aspects of the online business to determine success or opportunities for change, then develops and implements action plans based on those analyses/recommendations.
  • Serves as liaison with digital business efforts, customers and partners to understand their business needs, and delivers web solutions that meet those needs.
  • Assists with management of online metrics and makes recommendations for continued improvement and optimization.
  • Monitors marketplace products, service offerings and pricing; leverages internal and external data sources to identify gaps/opportunities in current catalog.
  • Partners with the Marketing, Sales and Product teams to support the strategic planning, testing, and execution of initiatives for the eCommerce website.
  • Monitors and analyzes the overall health of the eCommerce business as well as performance of program KPIs.

TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE

  • Educational Background in Business, Economics, IT
  • At least 7/8 years of experience in e-Commerce
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Solid experience with Microsoft software packages, Adobe Analytics is a plus
  • Fluent in English
