Last 13 December, the China Association of National Advertisers (CANA) held its annual conference in Beijing, where they officially introduced CANA's Responsible Marketing Committee and its founding members to China's leading marketers and agencies.

CANA's President Hou Yunchun unveiled the 11 founding members of the committee: Mars, Coca-Cola, AB InBev, Unilever, Yili Group, Lego, Nestle, Mengniu Dairy Group, Liby Group, McDonald's, among others.

The association's Responsible Marketing Committee is among the first industry initiatives in China to promote responsible marketing and advertising self-regulation.

In 2016, the committee plans to carry out a series of international seminars and invite experts from Europe, develop self-regulatory mechanisms, promote corporate social responsibility and reach a consensus on advertising to children and other important issues.
