The Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA) has elected a new Council during their recent Annual General Meeting.
Margaret Au-Yong, Head of Media at Tune Group, and Chan May Ling, Head of Marketing Services at DiGi Telecommunications, were re-elected as President and Vice President respectively for another two-year term.
MAA President Margaret Au-Yong said, "2016 is set to be a challenging year for Malaysia's advertising industry but we believe that MAA's focus on four key areas - digital media, new collaborations, global engagement and self-regulation - will ensure that the industry is directed into the right path for success."
MAA's new Council is set to continue building and strengthening collaborations with other industry associations, especially in relation to digital media, with the association keen on creating transparent industry standards for digital media buying in Malaysia.
MAA has also revamped their website to ensure a fast and efficient digital platform to communicate with their members.
In view of global challenges, the MAA has also strongly aligned itself with the WFA following the successful Global Marketer Conference in Kuala Lumpur last March.
