On 13 September, the Association of Finnish Advertisers (ML) held their annual Advertising Day (Mainontapaiva), one of the largest and longest-running marketing events in Finland.
This year's edition gathered over 600 Finnish marketers, agency and media professionals to network and exchange ideas and insights on topics and trends shaking up the industry. The one-day event featured several sessions with senior thought leaders and experts on stage, as well as the announcement of ML's "Brand Builder of the Year", an award recognising Finnish brands with exemplary marketing communications.
Finnish telecom company Elisa won this year's Brand Builder title for its long-term brand strategy and "smart new ways of doing familiar things", which is also their brand promise. Past awardees include textile manufacturer Finlayson, snack brand Raisio Elovena, FMCG company Fiskars and beer brand Karhu.
