The Paraguay Advertisers Chamber (CAP) held the third edition of its annual awards ceremony recognising Paraguayan brands that stood out in terms of consumer use, awareness and preference over the past year.
The brand ranking was determined through a study conducted by CAP and Metro Market Research in Asunción and other main cities in Paraguay between March and July 2017. CAP asked nearly 2,000 Paraguayan consumers which brands they recall, use or prefer the most. 49 different brand categories were covered.

“CAP conducts this study because we believe it helps to determine the relationship between investment in marketing communications and brand positioning and shows how brands have been performing in the market and how they fare with consumers”, said Carlos Jorge Biedermann, CAP President.

- Financial services: Vision Familiar, El Comercio, Universitaria
- Personal hygiene: Rexona, Colgate, Huggies
- Cleaning products: Omo, Activo 100, Cavallaro
- Restaurant: McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Café Martinez
- Food: Pechugon, Anita, Nescafé
- Non-alcoholic beverages: Coca-Cola, Frugos
- Alcoholic beverages: Brahma, Johnnie Walker, Santa Helena
- Automobiles: Toyota, Kenton, Petrobras
- Retail: Mariscal/Del Sol, Superseis, Nike
