On 29 March, heads and representatives of 26 national advertiser associations from around the world shared insights and ideas on how to lead locally on global digital challenges and drive organisational growth and membership value at the WFA National Associations Council (NAC) in Lisbon.

Bob Liodice (ANA, US) kicked off the meeting with an overview of the association’s growth agenda and their mission of Driving Growth for their members, brands and the wider industry.



For the session on leading locally on global digital challenges, Jean-Luc Chetrit and Laura Boulet (UDA, France) shared how the association is driving trust in advertising in France through the Digital Ad Trust (DAT) label and the Trust.id@EdiPub. Judy Davey (ACA, Canada) presented on how the association is driving transparency in advertising in Canada through their Marketing Services Agreements (MSAs). Matt Green (WFA) also gave an update on recent industry developments around cross-media measurement.

NAC attendees then worked in teams to identify ideas and actions to address key industry challenges with regards to trust and measurement in the digital advertising ecosystem.



Closing the meeting, Chris Van Roey and Mia Venken (UBA, Belgium), Lindsay Mouat (ANZA, New Zealand), Sandra Martinelli (ABA, Brazil) and Philip Perez (CAA, Argentina) shared their experiences and learnings on delivering membership value and driving organisational growth.

The second WFA National Associations Council of the year will be held on October 18th in Paris, co-hosted by Union des marques. All national associations in WFA membership can register for the meeting here.
