This month, the Japan Advertisers Association (JAA) held their 58th annual JAA Advertising Awards chaired by a panel of 111 consumers. The awards recognise marketing campaigns that resonated most with the public. Out of the 1,544 entries comprising newspaper, magazine, television, radio, digital, television, and outdoor advertising, 70 received awards.

Ajinomoto Co., Inc. took home two awards in the newspaper and magazine categories, Kubota won for TV, Panasonic for radio and East Japan Expressway for digital. This year, the esteemed Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award went to Tokai Television Broadcasting while Nankai Electric Railway won the JAA Grand Prix and an award for outdoor advertising.
