Finnish association welcomes marketing service providers into membership
Marketing Finland merges with agency association MTL

Marketing Finland recently expanded their membership to include production companies and marketing service providers including agencies. This follows the association’s merger in October 2020 with the Finnish Association of Marketing, Technology and Creativity (MTL), whose members are advertising, media, PR and communications and event agencies.
The merger aims to create a stronger marketing and communications community in Finland and help Finnish companies thrive against the backdrop of international competition by combining the expertise of both associations and offering a more diverse range of services to members. The new association will continue under the name Marketing Finland.
Marketing Finland CEO Riikka-Maria Lemminki said: “Marketing and communications are competitive factors. With the new association, we will be able to provide companies with more know-how to bring about growth. We are rapidly evolving the community and our goal is to continue to grow.”
Production companies and service providers in membership will have access to member content, training and research and will have their respective working groups.
Under the merger, Marketing Finland is now a member of the European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) and the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) and will manage the organisation of award programmes including the local Effie Awards and Young Lions Competition.
