Context: The GARM Brand Safety Floor + Suitability Framework was first deployed in September of 2020, and then updated in June 2022. This framework establishes a voluntary framework by which content can be categorized based on topic and suitability levels.

Since then, several platforms and 3rd party targeting companies have introduced cross-category settings that approximate to the GARM Suitability Framework.

In order to improve transparency on these practices, the GARM Standards + Definitions Working Group has created a voluntary self-reporting template for platforms and 3rd party providers to disclose what content types fall into each of these inventory tiers.

The following template can be used by platforms to communicate inventory included in each of these settings. This template can be used by advertisers and agencies in the brand safety steps in their media campaign set-up.

The template does not cover customized settings for individual media agencies or advertisers.

The template may be explanded by platforms to include additional content categories beyond the 12 GARM content categories.
