More than a decade ago, the Argentinian Advertisers' Association (Cámara Argentina de Anunciantes %u2013 CAA) instituted the 7th of July as "Advertiser's Day", as a way to celebrate those who are the backbone of the advertising industry.
The day is symbolic: on the 7th July 1959, 19 Argentinian companies signed the constitutive act of the CAA, as a commitment to protect the license to operate and champion the development of the country's advertising industry.
"In celebration of this special day, CAA invites all advertisers in Argentina to continue to operate in a socially responsible manner, though honest, reliable and truthful messages, in line with the essential values the society cherishes and promotes," said Philip Perez, General Manager of CAA.
